Ice Cream Popsicle Hack

 

 

INGREDIENTS 

‘Bounty’ Coconut and Chocolate  
1 litre of coconut or vanilla ice-cream 
120g Bounty chocolates, roughly chopped 
100g dark chocolate 
1 tbs coconut oil (optional) 
¼ cup desiccated coconut 
*You'll also need 6 icy-pole sticks  

Peanut Butter and Chocolate  
1 litre of vanilla ice-cream  
¾ cup smooth peanut butter 
100g milk chocolate  
1 tbs coconut oil (optional) 
¼ cup roasted peanuts, finely chopped 
1 tsp flaked sea salt 
*You'll also need 6 icy-pole sticks  

Frozen Yoghurt with Fresh Fruit, White Chocolate and Muesli 
1 litre of frozen yoghurt 
6 fresh strawberries, sliced 
1 fresh kiwi fruit, sliced 
½ cup of fresh raspberries or blueberries 
100g white chocolate 
1 tbs coconut oil (optional) 
½ cup toasted granola  
*You'll also need 6 icy-pole sticks 


METHOD 

‘Bounty’ Coconut and Chocolate  
1. Keeping the ice-cream in it’s container, use a knife or spoon to make large holes in the ice-cream. 
2. Push the Bounty pieces into the holes in the ice-cream. 
3. Smooth over the ice-cream with the back of a spoon and place back into the freezer overnight.  
4. Remove the ice cream from the freezer and turn out from the container. 
5. Slice the ice-cream into 6-8 pieces. 
6. Insert the icy-pole sticks into the ice-cream slices, place onto a paper lined tray and back into the freezer. 
7. Melt the dark chocolate and coconut oil, then allow to cool slightly. 
8. Drizzle the chocolate over the frozen popsicles, sprinkle with coconut and refreeze overnight.

Peanut Butter and Chocolate 
 
1. Keeping the ice-cream in it’s container, use a knife or spoon to make large holes in the ice-cream. 
2. Drizzle in the peanut butter and swirl into the ice-cream. 
3. Smooth over the ice-cream with the back of a spoon and place back into the freezer overnight.  
4. Remove the ice-cream from the freezer and turn out from the container. 
5. Slice the ice-cream into 6-8 pieces. 
6. Insert the icy-pole sticks into the ice-cream slices, place onto a paper lined tray and back into the freezer. 
7. Melt the milk chocolate and coconut oil, then allow to cool slightly. 
8. Drizzle the chocolate over the frozen popsicles, sprinkle with peanuts and a little sea salt, then refreeze overnight.

Frozen Yoghurt with Fresh Fruit, White Chocolate and Muesli 
1. Keeping the frozen yoghurt in it’s container, use a knife or spoon to make large holes in the frozen yoghurt. 
2. Add the fresh fruit by pushing it into the holes and then swirling it into the frozen yoghurt. 
3. Smooth over the frozen yoghurt with the back of a spoon and place back into the freezer overnight.  
4. Remove the frozen yoghurt from the freezer and turn out from the container. 
5. Slice the frozen yoghurt into 6-8 pieces. 
6. Insert the icy-pole sticks into the frozen yoghurt slices, place onto a paper lined tray and back into the freezer. 
7. Melt the white chocolate and coconut oil, then allow to cool slightly. 
8. Drizzle the chocolate over the frozen popsicles, sprinkle with toasted muesli and refreeze overnight. Enjoy!
